Chapter 13: Intrigues Unveiled
Shortly after the turmoil surrounding the assassination attempt on the youngest son of the Sokeye family, Miracle Sig. The Adenca family, known for their immense power and influence, comparable to that of the Royal family, found themselves in the spotlight.
Tes Dan Adenca, the Archduke and patriarch of the Adencas, had a wife named Elena Lebano. Together, they had three sons. The eldest son was Levante Adenca, followed by Frey Adenca, and finally, Saimon Adenca, who happened to be the same age as Miracle Sig, the youngest son of the Sokeye family.
Curious about his son's whereabouts, Dan, the Patriarch of the Adencas, approached one of the guards and asked, "Is he still circulating his circle?" The guard nodded and replied, "Yes, my Lord." Amused by the extraordinary abilities of his son, Tes thought to himself, "To think that my son is so exceptional, I doubt any other family has a youngest member already circulating their first circle at such a young age," and chuckled, letting out a deep laugh, "HAHAHA."
Two hours passed, and Saimon successfully broke through to his First circle. The guards and maids whispered in awe, "Wow, he's a genius! He's already surpassed the realm of genius." The Patriarch lifted him up, examined him, and smiled before saying, "Let him rest. It's not easy for an eight-month-old child to circulate their first circle of magic." He then issued a stern warning, with a fierce intent, to the maids and guards present, "If any word gets out about the youngest, all of you shall face severe consequences." Terrified, they replied with trembling voices, "Yes, my Lord."
Tes and Elena were discussing Saimon's future. "Once he reaches the coming of age, we will enroll him into the prestigious Miranda Academy," Tes stated confidently. "The academy is well-known for nurturing exceptionally talented individuals," he added.
Concerned, Elena expressed her worries, "I acknowledge that our son is gifted, but I fear that he may attract unwanted attention." Tes reassured her, saying, "Do not worry, I will assign two of my elite guards to protect him." Elena let out a sigh of relief.
Their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. The butler of the patriarchy entered and delivered an urgent message. "My Lord, we have just received news of an assassination attempt on the youngest son of the Sokeye family," the butler informed them. Tes muttered to himself, "The Sokeyes can be quite brutal. I bet it was Rebecca, Paul's second wife. She is a cruel woman." He then inquired, "Did they capture the assassin?" The butler responded, "Yes, my Lord. However, we heard that the assassin was interrogated by Funmi, the Archduke's first wife, and he ended up killing himself."
Tes nodded, a smirk forming on his face. "I can only imagine the agony he must have experienced before taking his own life. Rebecca has no idea how ruthless Funmi can be when it comes to protecting what she values. She probably felt it too." Elena chimed in, remarking, "The Sokeye family always seems to have a lot of drama."
Tes's thoughts turned to bragging about his exceptional son to Paul. A creepy smile crept onto his face, but before he could relish in it, his wife playfully slapped him and asked, "What was that smile for?" The butler observed this and thought to himself, "Only the Patriarch's wife has the power to do that, but if others saw this, they would think the Patriarch is a playful man, little do they know he is the cruelest being I have ever witnessed." Tes and Elena continued to joke and laugh together throughout the day.
