Chapter 1: Prologue

My name is Lucas. I'm a very average person with a life that's as monochrome as the pages of the manga I read. To the world, I'm just another otaku, out of earth and into anime. They're not wrong, but it's only because reality seems to be stuck on repeat. (Why does this sound like a badly written manga intro?)

Well, that aside, I got hit by a truck after saving a kid who was too focused on his phone instead of paying attention to the road. I was transported into a place with some random author with the name Aelius (I hate that guy). He gave me a second chance at life for my "good deed" and he also gave me the purpose of being a main character in his novel and the goal of being a chosen hero who will save the land from a dark lord (sounds like an overused plot, right?).

Now reborn as Kyros Brightblade, I have to save the world. I never asked for any of this. I'm pretty sure this is kidnapping. It's too much work. I wish I could just read some manga right now.
