Chapter 24: 1_ ch 20: K. Rabbit-Riding

“Wow. Never. Never do this again.”

Barely holding my mouth from throwing up, I curse at the weird feeling from traveling by light.

For the first time in my life, I felt what it is like to be a sardine in a tin can, and I never want to do so again.

Taking a deep breath to calm myself, I look around myself.

“So this place is my safe-room.”

Standing and observing the room revealed three doors.

One to the bathroom, one to a weapon storage room, and the other to the outside.

Getting into the weapon storage, I checked, and let me say, there really are a lot of weapons.

Taking hold of a sword, I swing it.

Air cutting noise.

“well, it looks good.”

Keeping the motion for a while, I was about to stop when, ...

-Conditions have been met.

You have acquired skill: Basic sword mastery Lv1.-

I acquired a skill. Reading the notification, I stopped in my place.

“I should check my status, for now.”

-Status :

Kai Lv1

hp : 10

mp: 10

sp : 10

atk : 10

def : 10

agi : 10

Skills:

Basic sword mastery Lv1-

Looking at my status, I remembered that I have gotten a ring with the Analyze ability.

Trying to use it on the stat, I got a description.

-hp: health point, also known as life force, or the energy sustaining life, a moment of it reaching zero can mean death.-

Repeating the same process with the other stat has given the same result with a different description for every stat.

And in the middle of it, it seems that I have acquired a new skill.

-Analyse: a skill that summarizes one’s knowledge and senses about an object, or a person, from their conscious and unconscious minds, and present it in an easy-to-understand way for the user.-

Looking at the skill description, I started to think about my next action.

Now that I have a weapon and some ideas about the skill system, it may be time to know about the starting point.

And so, I turned toward the door and got out.

“.... what a view.”

Getting out of the door, the first thing that appeared ahead of me was a blue sky, then a giant black Obelisk, in the far ahead.

And then looking around, revealed that I was on a building’s roof, and around the building is plain. A clean and empty plain, with green grass stretching to the horizon, where a foggy mist barrier exists, with the green color covering everything inside it, except for the buildings that are barely visible under it. As in some places I can see buildings or their remain protruding from underground.

Though they are far from each other, it really gives a weird vibe when looking at them.

Checking the one I am standing on, has revealed that only the roof and a floor below it are visible above ground, with everything else buried beneath it.

Carefully moving to the roof door, I get in.

Gripping my sword, and walking slowly, I check my surrounding while walking, but there are no attacks. Walking through an empty corridor, I hear nothing.

Looking around me, I ignore the stairs leading below and head to an open door to the side.

Getting in, all I find is a chaotic apartment, as if an earthquake had happened not long ago. Not paying attention to that, I go to the window and take a glance at the outside. Finding nothing, I pass through it, to the other side.

Looking around, I can only see the plains, but with a careful look, I glimpsed something else.

A rabbit. Well, a rabbit-looking thing.

It’s a blue rabbit, with a height of 2 meters, and spikes coming from its back. This rabbit-looking thing is sitting at a place, about 20 meters ahead, staring at the air, and not moving.

But seriously, what kind of rabbit has spiked from its back? and white 50 cm ones at that? just what kind of predator do you fight? or is the ecosystem here different maybe?

“well, no matter what, I should analyze it for now.”

Thinking so, I focus my vision on the rabbit, but just as I do so, and before I even get to analyze it, the rabbit turn in my direction while moving its ears.

“Shit. It heard me.”

Not even waiting to know the meaning of its act, I turn back and jump into the window, and run ahead.

Boom. Glass breaking noise.

Reaching the door, I turn to look back at the window. And there I see the giant rabbit that has broken through the window with its forelimb that is trying to get inside.

“SQUEEAAAK”

That was dangerous.

“Fuuh. One wrong move and my head would be blasted. Just what kind of grudge do this game have against me ?”

“SQUEEEAAAAK”

I didn’t ask you. But anyway, now what? whit a monster like that in my front door, or specifically, my front window, what is the best course of action?

No matter how you look at it, this thing .....

-Spiked rabbit lv5: a rabbit monster.-

Is too much in a head-on confrontation.

My best chance is honestly a sneak attack, but just how am I supposed to do so?

“curse management. Curse you.”

“SQUEEAAK.”

“I am not speaking with you, got it ?”

Dammit, what can I do in a situation like this? something. Something. A trick. An idea. Someway. Somehow.

“Ah. I got it. Such a simple solution, of course.”

Smiling at the rabbit, I turn my back to it, and then I open the door in front of me, and silently walk to the end of the corridor.

Reaching the stairs, I get back to the roof, and moving to the edge I carefully and silently look at the giant squeaking rabbit.

Relaxing my body and preparing my mind.

I grip my sword in hand, and jump on it back, and ...

Stab.

“SQUEEEEAAAAK.”

Stabbing the rabbit in its fat neck, I use the spikes to stabilize myself on its back, while it’s flailing and jumping around.

“SQUEEEAAAK.”

If I can’t fight it head-on, I just have to fight it from the back. It’s not like you can find a stupid monster like this one every day after all.

“or maybe there is a lot of them in this plain.”

Pressing my sword in the rabbit’s neck, and barely keeping my position, while almost throwing up, I succeeded in killing it.

Looking at the dying giant rabbit under my feet, I am barely stopping my stomach from getting out of its place.

Release breathe.

Relaxing finally when it stopped moving I get down. When...

-Conditions have been met.

Lv3 have been reached.-

-Conditions have been met.

Skill: Attack lv1 has been acquired.-

I leveled up.

“Sigh. Really. It seems that it was worth it after all. But, man, just what the hell is wrong with this place.”

If just the first login was this intense, just what kind of hell did I get myself into?
