Chapter 3: Back to school

The summer holidays had ended, and it was time for Lucy to start her new school. She would be joining InfernoOaisis this year, as she had just been expelled from her old school. Her parents had been really worried that she wouldn't get in because they lived 6 towns away and Lucy didn't have the best of records. Just as she was thinking over the new chapter of her life, her father called to her from downstairs that the train would soon be departing. She hauled her suitcase down the stairs and lifted it into the car so they could go to the station. The car ride was quiet and the train ride even quieter. As they got closer to the school, more and more people began to join her from different towns. There were children of all ages, ranging from 3 year olds in nursery to 17 year olds preparing for A-levels. They finally arrived at the academy and the train emptied.

There were a lot of children gathered around the entrance, their eyes staring up at the building in awe. The doors opened, and out walked a boy who looked not much older than the students. His head was hanging down, then suddenly it snapped up. He eyed them all carefully before opening his mouth. He spoke with a condescending tone, as if he owned the place. Little did they know... he did. He launched into a long-winded speech about how the school was run and what was expected of the new comers. When he finally ended, he turned around and led them all inside to get their new uniforms. The uniforms were plain black with three stripes on the back and the pocket of the blazer, signifying what year and group they were in. Lucy's was pastel green for year 9 with two purple stripes for her group. The boys' uniforms were similar to that of the girls' where they both had hoodies, blazers and trainers, yet where the girls wore a blouse, a skirt and leggings, the guys wore a shirt and trousers.

Lucy was raging in her head: 'Ugh, who is this guy acting like he owns the place! Why would they send out a KID to welcome us?!?!!! Not even a teacher, but a KID!!!! Like I know he's older than us (probably) But a KIDDD!!! It's like we mean nothing to the school - they couldn't even give us a proper welcome! I haven't even been here for an hour and I already hate it here! I've decided, I will get out of here as soon as possible no matter the cost!'

Just when she finished yelling, another girl came over to her with the same colour uniform. She introduced herself as Amelie, her student guide, and had been at the school since the age of 3, so she had been given the job to help get the new students in her group accustomed to life at InfernoOaisis. Lucy then introduced herself and they made our way to their lessons...
